The Conference Bridge4 card allows any VidPhone® Station user to independently initiate and control a multipoint videoconference. It connects any combination of VidPhone® Station, video source, or external CODEC into a videoconference. The user initiating the call can insert stored video or a direct broadcast into the video call to enhance the discussion or share information as easily as adding another user to the conference. The Conference Bridge is implemented as a shared resource allowing individual users to manage their own conference and access high-quality CODECs and WAN lines when needed. This makes videoconferencing more spontaneous and flexible, as well as more cost effective.
